To enrol your child at  Academy of Dance, please complete the online enrolment form.

The online enrolment form will ask you to register with Ezidebit – a secure encrypted banking system.  No money is taken at this time and no invoices are automatically charged.

The studio term dates are based on the Victorian school term dates. CLICK HERE to view our term dates for the year.

At Academy of Dance, we have uniforms and shoes available to purchase at the Studio to ensure that your child is ready for their classes.

For your child’s free trial class, they are welcome to wear their own comfortable clothes or any dance clothes they may already own. Bare feet for trial classes are also fine, or runners / school shoes for Hip Hop or Tap trials.

Upon enrolling online, you will be asked to register with Ezidebit. Your invoice will be emailed to you with a charge date indicated in the email, and will be charged on that date.

Invoices are charged Term by Term and are emailed to all families at the start of the school holidays during the year,  or two weeks before the commencement of Term 1.

Academy of Dance takes child safety seriously and ensures that our facility is a child safe environment. All of our staff have current Working With Children Checks (WWCC), as well as up-to-date First Aid and CPR qualifications.

We are also proud members of Dance Arts Alliance, an emerging body for Performing Arts, driving change in our industry.

Our Child Safe Policy denotes the steps taken to keep children and young people safe at our studio.

Here at Academy of Dance, in line with our Child Safe Policy we don’t allow parents into the studio to watch their children during dance lessons, as we want the child to be completely present in each of their lessons, to ensure that they are focused and getting the most out of their lesson.

We do have large viewing windows into our studios, where parents are welcome to watch the joy of their child dancing, without interrupting the focus of the class.

Our Dance Stars A (2 year old) group is the exception, as these are parent/carer involved classes, and therefore one parent or guardian is required to participate in lessons with the child.

We do offer private lessons to students, and these are billed at an additional cost to your term enrolments, based on the requirement for the lessons and its outcome (i.e. additional technique training, performance / competition routine creation). To enquire about private lessons, please send an email to [email protected].

Yes! If you have more than one child wanting to enrol for lessons at Academy of Dance, the oldest / first child will be charged at the regular pricing, and then every additional sibling will receive a 10% discount on tuition fees.

Dance competitions are available only to students enrolled in the Academy of Dance Elite Program. Auditions for the Elite Program are held in October each year.

Dance Exams are offered to students enrolled in the Syllabus and Elite Programs. Exams are offered for Ballet (RAD syllabus), Jazz, Tap and Contemporary upon teacher recommendations.

Auditions for the Syllabus and Elite Program are held in October each year.

Upon registering, you will be asked to advise of any medical history we should be aware of. For any students who have active action plans (e.g. Anaphylaxis, Asthma etc. ) – please ensure you provide a copy of the action plan to reception and that any medications are made available to staff in case of emergencies (epipens, asthma medication etc.  should be carried in the child’s dance bag).

Yes. We understand that absences may be unavoidable due to illness or holidays. As long as the absence has been reported to us at Reception students are welcome to attend up to two make up lessons in any style within their age group, in a class that is not full. Make up classes can only be taken in the same term in which the absence occurred.
